The wrestling giants’ British brand will feature the best male and female competitors in the country, such as NXT UK Champion Pete Dunne, Toni Storm and NXT UK Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley.

British media personality Radzi Chinyanganya¬†will be joining the NXT UK broadcasting team as a backstage interviewer for the promotion’s weekly one-hour episodes.

Chinyanganya is best known for hosting ITV gameshow Cannonball and in his ongoing role as a presenter of the world’s longest-running children’s TV show the BBC’s Blue Peter.

Commentators Nigel McGuinness and Vic Joseph will be calling the action from rignside whereas the legendary Johnny Saint will be featured as the brand’s General Manager.

NXT founder and senior producer Triple H said WWE are proud to be taking this big step in a country with which they have had a special relationship for over 30 years.

The WWE Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative said: “NXT UK is the next step in our global localisation strategy, and we are proud to do this in a place where WWE has had a special relationship for more than 30 years.”

Upcoming NXT UK live events will take place in Plymouth this weekend at Plymouth Pavilions.

The next shows will be hosted in Liverpool on November 24 and 25 at Liverpool Olympia.

Triple H announced the creation of the new brand last June during the United Kingdom Championship Tournament at Royal Albert Hall.

The British talent gave fans a sneak peek that night when Zack Gibson won the tournament after a grueling 17-minute battle with Travis Banks.

Dunne also teamed up with Tyler Bate and Trent Seven of Moustache Mountain and defeated the Undisputed Era in a Six Man Tag Team Match.

The next night featured more excitement as The Bruiserweight successfully defended the UK Championship against Gibson.

Other NXT superstars also competed at Royal Albert Hall as Aleister Black and Ricochet defeated EC3 and Velveteen Dream in a Tag Team Match.

Shayna Baszler also successfully defended the NXT Women’s Championship against one of NXT UK’s top stars Toni Storm who was counted out.
